The OSU Alumni Club of Muskingum County will participate in a screening of the new feature film “RACE,” Tuesday, February 23, at the Cinemark Theatre in the Colony Square Mall in Zanesville.  Show time will be at 6:40 p.m. and the Discount Day Admission will be $4.75.

“RACE” is based on the incredible true story of Jesse Owens, the legendary Ohio State athletic superstar.  Owens’ quest to become the greatest track and field athlete in history thrusts him onto the world stage of the 1936 Olympics, where he faces off against Adolf Hitler’s vision of Aryan supremacy. “RACE” is an enthralling film about courage, determination, tolerance, and friendship, and an inspiring drama about one man’s fight to become an Olympic legend.

OSU Alumni Club board members will conduct a brief discussion of the film in the Cinemark Party Room following the screening at approximately 9:00 p.m.  All Ohio State graduates and friends who attend are asked to please stop in the room to sign the event sheet, even if unable to stay for the discussion session.  The club will receive credit toward its alumni club status with the University and Alumni Association for holding this special event.  Free refreshments will be available in the Party Room during the discussion period.
