A good time was had by all who attended the organizational full membership “Annual Meeting” of The OSU Alumni Club of Muskingum County held Thursday evening, August 2 at VFW Post 1058.   The annual meeting featured a student send-off, with special recognition of the 15 recipients (11 entering freshmen and 4 current OSU students) of our club’s 2012 scholarships and the inaugural presentation of the OSUACMC Outstanding Alumnus Award and the Outstanding Friend of OSUACMC Award to Tami Longaberger and Dan Rapol respectively.  And 8 lucky club members won the opportunity to purchase a pair of OSUACMC’s season tickets for one of the 8 home Ohio State football games of the 2012 season.  In addition to the football raffle, there were brief reports on the finances of our club and activities of the past year, as well as the election of officers for 2012-13.

Thanks to everyone who attended … club members, students, parents, and guests, and special thanks to the VFW for the hospitality and to Judy Morgan Cordell for donating to the club a portion of the proceeds from the sales of her handmade pieces of  “Jewelry by Judy.”

It was an enjoyable evening, and we certainly look forward to another great year for The OSU Alumni Club of Muskingum County!
