The OSU Alumni Club of Muskingum County will hold its 20th Annual Scholarship Auction Thursday, April 11 at the VFW Post 1058 in Zanesville. The auction is the club’s biggest event of the year and will offer Silent and Live Auctions for great Ohio State memorabilia and other quality items, as well as Half & Half and Scarlet Ticket Raffles, and plenty of Food and Beverages. The doors will open at 5:30 p.m. and THIS EVENT IS OPEN TO THE PUBLIC.
The Guest Speaker will be CORNELIUS GREEN, former Ohio State and NFL Quarterback. Green played at OSU 1972-75 and was the first African-American to be a starting college quarterback. Green played in the same backfield as 2-time Heisman Trophy winner Archie Griffin and he earned awards as MVP of the Rose Bowl and Hula Bowl, MVP of the Big Ten Conference, and All-American.
The annual OSUACMC service awards will be presented prior to Mr. Green’s comments.
Tickets sell for $20 per person or $175 for a reserved corporate table of 8. All proceeds to scholarships for Muskingum County students to attend any of the campuses of The Ohio State University. Tickets available at Tom’s Print Shop downtown Zanesville, from President Terry Kopchak, and also at the door that evening.
